VASAKA-Vasaka soothes bronchial inflammation and opens airways, helps phlegm discharge, and relieves chest congestion. The herb assists in suppressing cough, loosening phlegm, thinning bronchial secretions, and improving sluggish lung function.

YASHTHIMADHU/MULETHI - Having powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-biotic, and anti-asthmatic properties, liquorice plays a pivotal role in treating the common cold, cough, and flu symptoms. It also thins and slackens phlegm deposits within the chest and nasal cavities and hence eases breathing and helps the body to get rid of mucus. It is also beneficial in treating bronchitis and asthmatic conditions.

LASODA - healing joint pain, cough, asthma, skin ailment, fever, headache, diarrhoea, intestinal worms, wounds.

BHARANGI - one of the common herbs used for the common cold, chronic sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, cough, and other chronic respiratory problems. It is also an excellent dry cough home. It is also used by Ayurveda for relief from fever and hyper-pyrexia.

KAKARSINGHI - used for a variety of uses. As a medicinal herb, it is an effective remedy for cough, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and asthma. 

TULSI - Tulsi leaves help to improve the individual's ability to fight against the common cold as well as cough. Tulsi boosts the production of antibodies thereby preventing the onset of any infections. Tulsi has cough-relieving properties. It helps soothe the airways by helping cough out the sticky mucus

SOMLATA -. used for respiratory conditions. Sida Cordifolia extract used in Ayurveda contained 1% of the Alkaloid Ephedrine. Ayurveda describes it as an important antipyretic remedy and also as an aphrodisiac

PEEPAL - loosens mucus and helps to cough it out, thus allowing the patient to breathe freely. This is due to its expectorant property.

SAUNF - curing respiratory ailments with antispasmodic effect easing abdominal cramps. Saunf has a beneficial effect on the stomach, liver, brain, heart, kidney, and uterus

CHANDRIKA - Mayura Chandrika bhasma is also used in combinations to treat various problems associated with the lungs. Because of its bronchodilatory property, Mayura Chandrika bhasma dilates the bronchi and bronchioles, decreasing resistance in the respiratory airway and increasing airflow to the lungs. Thus, it is very helpful in conditions related to breathing difficulty.

DHAMASA -the whole plant is used for medical purposes; popularly known in hilly areas as a fever remedy source. Infusion is effective as a cooling agent in stomatitis. It is known to purify the blood and also acts as a deobstruent

GAJUVAN/ AJWAIN -Ajwain Works as an Expectorant: Ajwain has Thymol which has expectorant properties. Thus, it acts as a decongestant and helps in mucus removal to clear your nasal passage and help you breathe easier. Works against inflammation

KANTAKARI – used in the management of respiratory conditions such as bronchial asthma due to its expectorant property. It helps to loosen the sputum and removes it from the air passages, thereby easing breathing. It also helps in relieving cough by decreasing allergic reactions

HONEY- Honey is thought to help relieve cough because of its various antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. It has also been suggested that due to its viscous nature, it coats the throat causing a soothing effect.

SUGAR BASE - sugar to help mask their naturally bad and bitter taste. 

How to use Ayurvedic Cough Syrup

  • 7.5 ml to 10 ml 2-3 times a day or as directed by the Physician.
  • Shake well before use
